Fire Risk Assessment and Compliance. Grade II listed building
Soldi CDM and Fire was appointed to undertake a fire risk assessment at the Grade II listed Radstock Museum, including a detailed review of fire safety management arrangements, means of escape, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, compartmentation, and evacuation procedures.
The assessment was carried out in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and PAS 79 guidance, and included a full inspection of the building layout, internal exhibits, storage areas, protected escape routes, and high risk spaces such as the mezzanine level and indoor mine exhibit.
As part of the works, Soldi CDM and Fire also undertook fire door inspections, assessing door condition, self-closing devices, glazing, seals, ironmongery, and overall performance against current fire safety guidance. Key doors forming part of fire compartmentation lines and protected escape routes were individually reviewed and documented.
