Soldi Group was founded by Alex Petheram in 2011 as a specialist construction consultancy.

Today, the business operates exclusively as an independent technical advisory practice, providing fire strategy, CDM 2015 compliance, and construction risk services for complex and regulated buildings across the UK.

Our work is focused on governance, buildability, and life safety in live environments. We support clients where projects are constrained by existing buildings, regulation, heritage, or occupation, and where standard guidance does not fit.

The company now concentrates solely on advisory services, drawing on decades of real project experience to deliver clear, proportionate, and defensible technical advice.

We work with councils, public sector bodies, healthcare providers, developers, landlords, and institutional asset owners responsible for complex and regulated buildings.

Our focus is on live projects and real buildings. The work is practical, risk led, and grounded in delivery rather than generic compliance or paperwork.

Since 2011, we have supported clients across the UK with clear, proportionate advice that reflects how buildings are actually designed, built, refurbished, and occupied.

Our work sits at the point where regulation, construction, and fire safety meet.

This includes:

  • Fire risk assessments for complex and higher risk buildings

  • Fire strategy review and technical advisory for new, existing, and listed buildings

  • CDM 2015 advisory support for clients, designers, and contractors

  • Independent expert witness and technical advisory services

We are often appointed where projects are constrained by existing structures, heritage status, live occupation, or heightened regulatory scrutiny, and where clear, defensible technical advice is required to move projects forward safely.

We provide independent technical advice that stands up to scrutiny.

This means:

  • Early involvement where risk is set, not just managed later

  • Clear identification of risk, duty, and responsibility

  • Practical solutions that can be delivered on site

  • Written outputs that regulators, clients, and legal teams can rely on

We work alongside project teams, not above them, focusing on supporting delivery while maintaining life safety and regulatory compliance.

Our clients manage large and diverse property portfolios, including hospitals, schools, universities, public buildings, and residential assets. These are environments where failure is not an option.

We do not compete at the low cost end of the market. Our work is specialist, risk led, and driven by technical judgement and experience rather than volume.

Our work is centred in the South of England, with a strong focus on London projects involving existing and listed buildings.

We also provide limited technical advisory support to selected international projects where specialist fire strategy input is required.
